Keyboard Shortcuts

Everything in Graphite can be done from the keyboard. Press ⌘/ in the app to see this list, or ⌘K to search every command.

On Windows, Linux and ChromeOS, use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥. Shortcuts follow a key’s position, so they stay in the same place on any keyboard layout.

Change a shortcut Pro

With Graphite Pro, open Settings › Keyboard, click a shortcut, then press the new keys. Delete removes it and esc cancels. Each command can have up to three shortcuts, and Restore Defaults puts everything back.

  • A shortcut needs ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥, except the function keys F1 to F12.
  • If a key is already used by another command, Graphite asks before moving it.
  • Keys your browser or system reserves, such as closing a tab or quitting, can’t be used.
  • The keys in the Editing, Library and Manuscript tables are fixed.
