About Graphite

Graphite is a focused, local-first writing app by AROICE. It runs in any modern browser, installs as an app and works offline. Writers keep their documents as plain Markdown in their browser, in a folder on their computer or in their own Google Drive. Graphite has no backend that stores writing, no account needed to write, and no cookies. It’s free to write with; Graphite Pro adds themes, typefaces, styles and editing tools for a one-time $29.

Its tools are built to help people write, not to write for them: Focus Mode and Zen quiet the screen, Syntax Highlight and Style Check point out weak spots without rewriting, and Authorship keeps a clear record of what was typed, quoted or produced with AI.
